Calculation method & limits
Net flow = inbound − outbound. Time to fill = free space ÷ positive net flow; time to empty = stored cargo ÷ net outflow. Buffer stock = outbound rate × buffer hours. Equal flows have no finite fill/empty time. Zero outbound flow has no coverage duration. Use a single cargo category and consistent hours; the model assumes constant flow and excludes delivery expiry and station limits.
